Saluki characteristics

The Saluki is a breed known for its striking elegance and unique characteristics, which have been admired for thousands of years. Physically, Salukis are known for their slim, aerodynamic build, which is perfectly designed for speed and endurance. They typically stand between 23 to 28 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 40 to 60 pounds. Their coat can be either smooth or feathered, with long, silky hair on the ears, tail, and legs, and they come in a variety of colors, including cream, fawn, red, black and tan, and more. This variety in appearance only adds to the breed’s appeal.

Beyond their physical traits, Salukis are known for their independent and reserved temperament.
