Kakariki Parrot

Kakariki parrots, also known as New Zealand parakeets, are small, vibrant birds with a lively personality. Their name “Kakariki” means “small green parrot” in Maori, reflecting their stunning green plumage. There are three main species: the Red-crowned, Yellow-crowned, and the endangered Orange-fronted Kakariki.
