Fish Moving Guide

Moving fish from one location to another can be stressful for both the fish and their owner. To minimize stress, start by not feeding the fish 24 hours before the move. This helps reduce waste during transport. Place the fish in secure containers filled with water from the tank, and make sure to leave enough air at the top for oxygen exchange. Use insulated boxes if the move is long to maintain a stable water temperature. Once at your destination, float the fish in their transport containers in the new tank to let them adjust to the temperature before reintroducing them to their environment.
